Supported File Formats

PSP games are distributed as disc images or compressed archives. Provenance supports the primary PSP formats:

• .iso — Standard UMD disc image, the most common format for PSP backups
• .cso — Compressed ISO format; reduces file sizes significantly while remaining broadly compatible
• .pbp — PlayStation Portable executable package format, used for digital and download releases

CSO compression is a practical choice for PSP games, which tend to be large and benefit from the space savings on mobile storage.
